AK Interactive 3GEN Rubber Black is a versatile acrylic model paint featuring a dark, muted black tone designed to reproduce the natural appearance of rubber and other non-reflective surfaces on scale models, miniatures, and dioramas.

Unlike pure black, Rubber Black provides a softer, more realistic appearance, making it particularly useful for painting vehicle tires, rubber tracks, hoses, seals, gaskets, and other rubber components.

Its subdued coloration is also excellent for dark equipment, industrial machinery, railroad models, and miniature accessories where a true black would appear too harsh. Rubber Black can be highlighted with lighter greys or weathered with pigments and washes to create convincing worn and aged surfaces.

Part of AK Interactive's 3rd Generation Acrylic range, Rubber Black offers excellent coverage, adhesion, and a smooth matte finish. Its water-based formula is suitable for both brush and airbrush application.
