AK Interactive Dust Effects is a ready-to-use enamel weathering product designed to reproduce the appearance of light, dry dust and naturally accumulated surface dirt on scale models, model railroad subjects, and dioramas. Its light, neutral dust tone is especially effective for creating subtle deposits on surfaces exposed to roads, rail yards, industrial environments, and everyday outdoor conditions.

The enamel formula provides ample working time for building, blending, and adjusting the effect. Dust Effects can be applied with a brush for controlled accumulation around details, airbrushed for softer overall transitions, or used to create splashes and irregular deposits. The effect can be softened and blended with a brush lightly dampened with enamel thinner or white spirit, allowing anything from a faint dusty film to more pronounced weathering.

On military and civilian vehicles, it works particularly well around wheels, tracks, running gear, lower hulls, fenders, and horizontal surfaces where dust naturally settles. For model railroad applications, it can be used to weather locomotives, freight cars, rolling stock, trackside equipment, structures, loading areas, and industrial scenes.
