AK Interactive Glossy Varnish is a high-quality, water-based acrylic clear coat designed to provide a smooth, durable gloss finish on scale models, miniatures, and dioramas.

Ideal for protecting painted surfaces and enhancing their appearance, this transparent varnish creates a glossy finish that brings out color depth and detail. It is particularly useful for preparing surfaces for decal application, sealing painted models, and creating polished or reflective finishes.

Formulated for excellent airbrush performance, AK Interactive Glossy Varnish can also be applied with a brush. Its water-soluble, odorless formula provides an easy-to-use alternative to solvent-based varnishes.

Suitable for military vehicles, aircraft, automobiles, railroad models, figures, and other scale modeling projects.

Application Notes

• Apply over fully dried paint to create a smooth, protective gloss finish.

• Ideal for preparing surfaces before applying decals, helping reduce silvering.

• Use as a clear protective coat before selected washes and weathering techniques, allowing adequate curing time and checking compatibility.

• Apply with a brush or airbrush.

• For airbrushing, use directly from the bottle or thin as needed with AK Interactive Acrylic Thinner (AK712).

• Apply thin, even coats to avoid pooling or excessive buildup.

• Shake thoroughly before use.

• Allow approximately 12 hours for complete drying under normal conditions.

• Clean brushes and equipment with water before the varnish dries.
